Carin was born in 1971 in New York. She began studying art at an early age. In 1995, during her master's study in San Francisco, she started to devote herself heavily to oil painting and multimedia design. A charming mountain city, San Francisco is an art capital surrounded by the ocean and bay. The Victorian air, the history, the metropolitan life, and presence of artists from all over the world make San Francisco energetic and attractive. This environment also inspired Carin's passion and endless creativity, thus starting her present creative journey in art and design. With red, blue, and purple as main colors, Carin builds her simple yet interesting abstract world. She loves to paint women and nature and is able to sharply capture the special sentiment of women. The women in her paintings often carry an abstract, mystical tenderness. Under her sensitive touch, they represent dream and beauty and as such always capture the viewer's heart. Nature is one of Carin's favorite themes. She excels at creating different layers of colors and structuring the rhythm of nature. One may find peace in her world while at the same time discover one's own deep, buried passion. Carin's paintings bring to life the world's dream, happiness, doubt, humor, sarcasm, love, and truth. She has also successfully combined her paintings with multimedia technology into animation, digital books, and websites, creating various venues and modes of appreciation for her audiences.
