Zhan Junwei was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu province. He is a professional artist and the chief secretary of Huangpu branch of Shanghai oil painting and sculpture research Institute. He is also a member of Chinese Fine arts Association, Jiangsu branch. From 1975, he started his career of oil painting and create movie poster for more than 20 years. He created a series of work and was invited to attend many international art exhibitions. His work “Swirls of Life” and “Cooperation” won the first prize in 1979 in Jiangsu art exhibition and other work “Look back” won top prize in National painting invitational contest.

In 2015, he attended the Spring oil painting exhibition and then attended the exhibition in Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in 2017. In October 2017, he was invited to attend the “Chinese Artist tour exhibition in USA” from SFO to LA and NY and obtained “Certificate of Talent” from mayors. Recently, he keep creating new series of painting like “ Ladies of Cities”,”Old house in Shanghai” and “ Flower series”. 

   Zhang Junwei stayed in Shanghai from 2010 and his works were promoted by many medias and collected by many domestic and international collectors.
